About Us

Everett Price grew up working on the family farm and was fascinated that a welder could melt
metal and fix tractors and other machinery. As a US Army Combat Engineer in Vietnam, he
watched welding specialists do amazing things, including welding underwater. As he approached
retirement, Everett decided to take up welding himself. He found a local producer of welded
metal yard art and discovered she teaches classes in the basics of cutting and welding steel. That
got the ball rolling and now he’s hooked.

With his wife Katie, he found a supplier of salvaged Florida cypress which he uses as tops and
shelves on many of his tables. Currently they are on the hunt for salvaged wood from old barns
to include in future projects.

The Prices recently escaped life in Metro Atlanta and have settled in the small town of
Crawfordville in east Georgia. We work out of a shop space on the main street, so we are very
easy to find.

Village MetalCrafts prefers commissions over production of ready-made inventory. Bring/send
us a photo or drawing to get us started and we will bring your idea to life.
